The Hyperbaric Testing Facility is fully-equipped and operated by Sleipnir Offshore, the facility is one of the few in the world that can simulate hyperbaric welding environments at pressures of up to 190m. At the center, welder coding and procedure qualification can be done with a working pressure of up to 200 meter, the welding chamber that is completely separated can be used for welding and testing. The requirements of any specific project can be completely met by adjusting atmospheric conditions, such as humidity, with practically no size restrictions.
Polyesters, glues, and patching mortars are prohibited from evaporating in open air, so working in the testing space is safe. Testing welding robots, ROVs, diving systems, control systems, hydraulic motors, and kink arms is a common activity at the test center.
Now, Sleipnir Offshore can also benefit from this hyperbaric facility. International operators, contractors, cable manufacturers, and classification societies can train divers and welders without facing the significant expenses that come with working offshore. Clients have the option to have their divers complete a competence assessment under pressure through the facility to assess if they possess the necessary qualifications and experience for a specific job.It is possible for two to three divers to work in the welding chamber at the same time, but they must have the necessary qualifications to work from a distance of 200 meters.
In the Hyperbaric Testing Facility, there is a separate control room and saturation diving chamber. There is living accommodation that includes shower and laundry facilities.
